Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development

• Own the strategic agenda for Rize in Indonesia - identify and prioritise growth opportunities across products, geographies, and market segments

• Translate company-level strategy into concrete, on-ground plans for the Indonesian market

• Build the business case for new bets (new districts, new services, new farmer segments) - sized, sequenced, and defensible

Partnership Sourcing & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and build partnerships across the Indonesian ecosystem - government and regulatory bodies, agri-input players, financing institutions, farmer cooperatives, NGOs, and corporates

• Own the full partnership lifecycle end-to-end: sourcing, structuring, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management (you are the person, not the coordinator)

• Be the on-ground face of Rize to partners in Indonesia - building trust in a market where relationships are earned in person, not over email

Market Research & Feasibility

·         Run market research and feasibility studies to pressure-test new opportunities before we commit capital

·         Aggregate and rigorously analyse complex data - including messy, on-ground intelligence - to assess risk and model potential returns

·         Turn ambiguity into a clear read: what's real, what's noise, and what we should do about it

Field & On-Ground Engagement

·         Spend real time in the field and with partners - this is not a desk job

·         Bring ground truth back into the strategy, and adjust plans when reality disagrees with the model (it will)

Executive Communication & Influence

·         Synthesise complex analysis into compelling, concise recommendations for senior leadership

Influence and steer company strategy through clear, direct communication - you'll have a real voice in the room

Required Experience

• 3–5 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, corporate finance, or a strategy / business-development role at a high-growth company (we need someone who can actually run a workstream, not just contribute to one)
• Demonstrated track record of independently owning initiatives end-to-end from conception to execution - with limited oversight

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations

• Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques

• Comfort with startup environments and ambiguity (we're scaling - things change rapidly, and plans don't survive contact with the field intact)

Essential Skills & Characteristics

Must have:

·         Strong analytical and financial modelling skills - you can build the model yourself, not just review one

·         Ability to own workstreams independently and make decisions without constant guidance

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels - including senior leadership and external partners

·         A strategic mindset paired with a willingness to do hands-on work (research, decks, models, coordination - no task is beneath this role)

·         Comfort being based in Indonesia and travelling to field sites and partner locations as needed

·         Strong communication in English; Bahasa Indonesia is a significant advantage given the partner and government engagement this role involves

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and juggle multiple priorities

Nice to have:

·         Prior experience in startups within the ecosystem, agriculture/commodities, climate, or fintech industries

·         Prior experience in Southeast Asian markets

·         Exposure to climate / green financing, impact capital, or ESG-linked funding structures
