Tips to build a CV to make Recruiters find you easier!

Be ready to be Seen!

Building a good CV is a starting point to introduce yourself to the recruiters. Nowadays, you will be very easy to find so many examples of CV in the internet, but the big question is how to make your CV is easier to be found by the recruiters when you are applying a job through any platform. We recommend you focus on these following things when you start to build your CV:

  1. No mistakes, No typo, and provide the most updated data
Sometimes we consider this as a small thing, but be aware that in the current digital world, many recruiters will depend on the digital system to do talents screening. They will not waste their time with the tons of hardcopy CVs to manually screening. Therefore, whatever you write down in your CV it should be correct, otherwise the system or even a Talent Agent or Recruiter will fail to match your profile or your CV with the required qualifications.

  2. Focus on your skills & experience
We cannot deny that any company will focus on their business and they need to run faster and more efficient from time to time. That is why they prefer to get a talent who is ready to work with required skills and/or experience. So, this is very important part for the talent to provide data of the most relevant skills & experience. For fresh graduates, you may focus on skills & certifications you already have.

  3. Provide supported data
The more relevant data we provided, the sharper decision will be made. This means the recruiter will be more convinced when reading our CV if they see supported data of our statement, for example: when you are stating you used to handle a team consisting of many people, it would be good if you are stating you used to handle a team consisting more than 100 people. The recruiter will be more convinced what is your level /capacity in handling people.

  4. Keep it Simple
    • Complete information is good, but too long information provided will make the recruiter uncomfortable to read
    • Use bullet points / numbering to provide key points
    • Use relevant keywords only

  5. Your Picture is your Personal Branding
Many recruiters see their talents photo in their CV to get first impression of their personalities, so make sure you provide proper photo which can represent you.
