Tips for an interview with HRD!

Be ready to be Seen!

An interview is a critical stage for you to get a new job, so you need to prepare it as best as you can. Normally, there will be two steps of interview, the first step will be interview with HRD. If you are considered to the next steps, you will have opportunity to get interview with the user. Here are some tips to prepare an interview with HRD:

  1. Research!
    Find information about the basic things about the company you are applying for, for example its industry, what products/services it produces/sells, where they have their operations, Head Quarter & branches, including the company working culture. This is very important foundation for you to understand the company, and will help you to get initial sense if the company is the one that you are looking for. Further, it will also help you to answer most common question from the HR person during the interview: "What do you know about this company?" Do not forget to research on the interview location if the interview session is an offline session. If the interview session is an online session, then prepare yourself to get familiar on the platform/tool which will be used for the online session.

  2. Review
    Take a look one more time to the job description, job objective, and the job requirements info in the job advertisement, and also your own resume or CV. This will help you to answer one of the most common question: "Why do you think this position is fit for you?" OR "What makes apply to this job?" OR "What did you have in mind when you applied for this position?"

  3. Build positive mindset
    Don`t be so nervous! Keep in mind that the first interview with HR person is mainly aimed to know each other, more on general things and relates to your personal data/condition, and vice versa, it is an opportunity for you to know more about the company you are applying for.

  4. Align your attire
    By knowing the company culture, one important thing you can align is the proper attire you need to wear when you are attending the interview. This is also critical because normally the HR person will evaluate your personality if it is aligned to the company values and culture.

  5. Be On Time
    Most people do not like to wait, so make sure you arrive at the interview location before the scheduled time of the interview session.
