What is CAD/CAM?

CAD/CAM, or Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing, is an integrated software system that combines product design (CAD) 2D & 3D and automated manufacturing (CAM) to create prototypes or finished products. CAD is used to create digital designs and models, while CAM converts those designs into instructions for machines that will produce them as finished goods or prototypes.
