What is POS (Point of Sales)?

A point-of-sale system (POS) is a hardware device equipped with modern software to process various sales transactions, record payments, manage inventory in real time, manage guests, manage queues, and even generate financial reports. POS software can typically be installed and used on a variety of devices, such as tablets, smartphones, or even touchscreen vending machines.

By using POS, operations at various points of sale such as shops, restaurants, hotels, cafes, coffee shops, sales agents, and so on can become more efficient and easier to manage various things, for example stock of goods, stock of raw materials, customer data, and of course minimize cash flow leakage because POS is usually integrated with various digital payment services, for example QRIS, Credit Cards, Virtual Accounts, e-wallets, and so on.
