What is OCR (Optical Character Recognition)?
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a technology that can convert physical documents or images containing text (e.g., PDFs, photos, printed documents, or even the hand written documents) into readable and editable text. OCR technology works by analyzing and reading the characters in an image, then extracting them into text format so we can search, copy, or edit the text.
Currently, many devices, machines, and software have OCR technology, the most common of which are scanners from various brands.
