SAMUDRA was established in Jakarta in 1984 with the aim of providing superior exhibition construction services to clients based in Indonesia. During the following years, the company's scope of business was gradually expanded to provide full exhibition management services to clients participating in domestic and overseas expositions, trade fairs and exhibitions, conventions and seminars.

In 1994, SAMUDRA proudly gained official membership to Octanorm Service Partner International (OSPI), the worldwide network of Octanorm exhibition system providers and is today still the sole OSPI member in Indonesia.
